TierraMar was lead author of the World Wildlife Fund and Asian Development Bank (WWF/ADB) the influential publication, “Ecological footprint and investment in natural capital in Asia and the Pacific.” This document explores approaches for sustainably managing and valuing natural capital (marine, freshwater and terrestrial) in the region focusing on the Heart of Borneo, the Coral Triangle, the Greater Mekong Subregion and the Living Himalayas.
It highlights experiences from a number of important regional cooperation and investment initiatives aimed at protecting the integrity of natural ecosystems while improving livelihoods and reducing poverty and is a practical source of information and guidance for organisations engaged in or contemplating natural capital investment in Asia and the Pacific.
