DESCRIPTION:To celebrate World Oceans Day\, join us for the first webinar in OceanEarth Foundation’s Blue Futures series\, exploring the many different career pathways helping shape the future of our oceans. \nIf you’re passionate about the environment\, climate action\, marine life or conservation\, but unsure where you fit\, Blue Futures is for you. Beyond marine biology\, the ocean sector needs storytellers\, policy makers\, designers\, engineers\, communicators\, innovators\, scientists\, community leaders and creatives all working together to tackle some of the biggest challenges facing our planet. \nIn the first of the series\, join a panel of professionals working across marine conservation\, ocean policy and sustainable ocean industries as they share their career journeys\, what they studied\, the challenges they’ve faced\, and what working in the sector really looks like. \nFeaturing: \n\nMegan Connell – Program Manager\, Great Barrier Reef Foundation\nJordan Dwyer – Assistant Director of Domestic Ocean Policy\, Department of Climate Change\, Energy\, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW)\nJo Lane – SeaHealth Products\n\nTogether\, we’ll explore: \n\nDifferent careers connected to ocean and environmental protection\nUniversity and alternative pathways into the sector\nWhat skills and experience really matter\nWhat it takes to build a career with real impact\n\nThe panel discussion will be followed by a live Q&A session\, with opportunities for attendees to ask questions directly to the speakers.
